Welcome to #Movember! The growing begins. Last year I spoke to a Prostate Cancer Survivor. None other than Presidio's own CEO, Bob Cagnazzi. We had a great talk about his journey with #Prostate #Cancer and coming out the other side. First and foremost, thank you Bob. If this saves one life, what a gift that will be. Bob was 48 when a simple blood test at a physical showed an elevated PSA. Bob had not had a physical in quite some time. This is something you can have done, it is a Prostate Specific Antigen. It's a great preventative test to see how your Prostate is functioning. You can't have the test if you don't go to the doctor! No more waiting 5 years to get a physical. Do it annually. From there Bob went to meet with several doctors. Oncologists, Surgeons, Urologists, GP, etc. His advice is to spend time with multiple specialties. Ask a lot of questions. What have been your best outcomes? Why? What has been your success? What techniques do you use? What have been your worst outcomes? Why? Oncologist tend to lean towards radiation, surgeons tend to lead towards surgery. Get a full scope of what is out there and what is best for you. Ask if they have an affiliated sexual dysfunction practice. Make sure you fully understand the side effects of each option on the table. Bottom line, get a physical. Ask for your PSA to be tested. Remember, around 10.8M men globally are facing Prostate Cancer. As scary as it is, if detected early, it is one of the best survival rates out there. Most of my career I’ve had folders of bookmarks for all the point solution add-on tools needed to most effectively run my business. A month in, and it’s been incredible to see the creative ways we’re running “Sigma on Sigma” and the improvements it brings to true intra-team collaboration. Even more fun to start brainstorming with our customers how they will take the foundations we’re building ourselves and push the envelope even further. If you’re drowning in spreadsheet version control for things like territory planning, struggling to ensure your teams are looking at the same data in the same way for 1:1s, or if you want to be able to run data driven QBRs the day after quarter close without reps wasting days of manual effort building decks and aggregating metrics… Sigma could be an answer. UNDERRATED PIPELINE REVIEW ADVICE 👀 Target one deal per rep. Every sales rep can rattle off details about a bunch of deals. But that’s just information dumping. Let’s try critical thinking instead. Ask your reps to bring their single most pressing deal to your pipeline review. Have them (briefly) explain where they’re at and why they’re stuck. Then have the team collaborate to identify closing strategies. Now you’re peer coaching. This approach turns new hires into veterans FAST. And it promotes accountability since each rep has to come back to the table next week and tell the team what happened. When your entire team collaborates, closed deals are a win for everyone.
