    Human Rights

    CASA is located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The purpose of the organization is to help women who have been victims of domestic violence. The center has a thrift shop, where women can obtain credit to shop. It is open to the community as well, and all proceeds go toward helping survivors in the area. I donated 50 hours of my time to help sort through thrift shop donations, price and tag merchandise, and straighten the retail space.

Our community focus area is School Success and Health, which includes healthcare, nutrition, and literacy. We impact these areas through our community projects, financial support, and hundreds of volunteer hours, in an effort to fulfill our mission of improving the community through effective action and leadership.

    The Junior League of St. Petersburg, Inc. has been a driving force in St. Petersburg since 1931. Our community focus area is School Success and Health, which includes healthcare, nutrition, and literacy. We impact these areas through our community projects, financial support, and hundreds of volunteer hours, in an effort to fulfill our mission of improving the community through effective action and leadership.

    As part of the provisional project, we coordinated with Girls' Inc. of Pinellas to raise money for books and STEM activities. We raised over 3K for the organization and spent a day volunteering at the local center. We conducted a STEM activity, and provided books with inspirational quotes in the covers to encourage these young ladies to chase their dreams.

    During the 2019-2020 year, I am volunteering on the community outreach committee, contacting local non-profits that serve children in our area. I'm currently working closely with Kind Mouse, who sponsors food drives for school children in need.

    Our objective was to create a consumer profile of the average rock concert attendee. We were to conduct primary and secondary research to achieve our goal. We needed to compile enough information in which to base a campaign.
    We wrote a creative brief to be taken for implementation of a campaign. This project was a requirement of the Strategic Communication Theory & Research Class.

To do this we had to research the company and its competitors using both primary and secondary research. We had create a big idea and figure out how to promote it.     For our Strategic Communication Capstone, we had to come up with an advertising campaign for Southern Comfort Fiery Pepper. To do this we had to research the company and its competitors using both primary and secondary research. We had create a big idea and figure out how to promote it. We pinpointed our target audience and adjusted our advertising accordingly. We completed a study of both the demographics and psychographics of our target audience, specific non-traditional, traditional and digital media marketing tactics, a thorough ROI evaluation and additional components. Over 15 weeks, we worked long hours to come up with a campaign that would help our client, Brown-Foreman.

  • Nissan N.S.A.C. Campaign

    I participated in the National Student Advertising Competition with Ohio University's Advertising Association during the Nissan Campaign. I was a part of the creative team. Once we received the creative brief, our job was to come up with a "big idea" for the campaign. We came up with a tagline, and a few print ad and commercial ideas for the campaign.

    These can be seen in the final product, the Nissan Plansbook, which I would be delighted to present upon request.

  • Cupid Shuffle Date Auction

    As the Fundraising Chair for Ohio University's Advertising Association, I planned and implemented the very first Cupid Shuffle Date Auction. I contacted sponsors to donate gift certificates or raffle prizes, created fliers and distributed them, created a social media campaign, organized the auctionees, obtained the proper food sanitation documents, set up the food and drink and was the MC for the event. We raised over 200 dollars at the auction.
