This is a simple, unique and effective strategy I designed for Choice Hotels called Chocolate Smiles. It is simple to execute and accomplishes two things.
First, it provides an emotionally engaging customer experience that differentiates Choice properties from others in their market segment.
Second, it provides a compelling incentive that makes it likely for travelers to return to the same property when visiting that city again. This makes it ideal for serving business…This is a simple, unique and effective strategy I designed for Choice Hotels called Chocolate Smiles. It is simple to execute and accomplishes two things.
First, it provides an emotionally engaging customer experience that differentiates Choice properties from others in their market segment.
Second, it provides a compelling incentive that makes it likely for travelers to return to the same property when visiting that city again. This makes it ideal for serving business travelers; which are approximately 70% of Choice Hotels customers. Direct bookings result in 25-30% more gross revenue vs. reservations made via a third party travel site. (Travelocity, Expedia, etc.)
Finally, it costs little in terms of capital investment or staff effort. In fact, staff will find that their engagement with guests becomes much more enjoyable and they will earn larger tips; helping to reduce turnover.
