    Air trapping is a prominent finding in small airway disease (SAD) of the lungs. To investigate the feasibility of accurate, automated assessment of air-trapping from low-dose CT, we compare visual scoring by expert radiologists to a conventional method of automated assessment as well as two novel methods.     Air trapping is a prominent finding in small airway disease (SAD) of the lungs. To investigate the feasibility of accurate, automated assessment of air-trapping from low-dose CT, we compare visual scoring by expert radiologists to a conventional method of automated assessment as well as two novel methods. The conventional method, the "density mask" method, has been reported to correlate weakly but significantly with visual scoring on normal-dose CT. While we were unable to reproduce these results on our low-dose scans, our two novel methods showed some promise. More study on larger data sets is required to determine the optimal analysis method.

The server handling the simultaneous collaboration requests must keep track of conflicts in edits using the domain information and inform clients whether the edits have been accepted or rejected based on whether or not the edits cause conflicts. A well-designed domain structure as described will avoid conflicts.

  • System and Method for Automated Video Editing

    A system and method for automated video editing. A reference media is selected and analyzed. At least one video may be acquired, and thereby synced to the reference audio media. Once synced, audio analysis is used to assemble an edited video. The audio analysis can include information, including user inputs, video analysis, and metadata. The system and method for automated video editing may be applied to collaborative creation, simulated stop motion animation, and real-time implementations.
