What are three ways to incorporate gratitude into your daily stress management plan?
Incorporating gratitude into our life can look differently for each of us because of the unique ways we each express ourselves. While journaling is powerful for the brain/body/soul, this is not always the first list for some people. How I like to incorporate gratitude is to spend 5-15 minutes connecting to the 'feeling' of gratitude. First acknowledge and feel gratitude. Then look around, SEE all that you have to be grateful for. It may begin with a 'thing'; but who gave it to you or where and how did you acquire it. Continue this practice around your room. Close your eyes and see all the people in your life you are grateful for. Accessing the feeling of gratitude in our body, will increase the power of gratitude in our life.
