It has often astounded me when I have come up against a management team fixated on delusion driven / dashboard enamored sales management philosophies.... and how firmly intrenched they are in defending this philosophy. When they are winning, they really don't understand why or how but when they are losing they have all the answers - right there on the dashboard! I would much prefer to really understand the unique anatomy of success and support, promote, and try to replicate that success.

Too many salespeople when cold calling are NOT synced up with their prospects. They want to push their agenda instead of LISTENING. Instead, you must do the counterintuitive thing to AVOID selling too early. Listen, discuss, get on the same page, before even attempting any closing/selling activity. Otherwise, you're just gonna at best annoy the prospect and at worst, piss them off. Stop making calls with no purpose! Today’s sales tip is all about gaining commitment from your prospects on every call. Remember, gaining commitment is the principal mission of every salesperson, but you won't get it if you don't ask.   💡 Key Tip: Begin your planning of every sales call by determining the commitment you want and how you're going to ask for it. This could be a commitment to a follow-up meeting, a demo, or even closing the deal. Whatever it is, be clear about your goal and prepare to ask.   ❔ Example: If you're aiming to schedule a product demo, plan your call around that. Understand your prospect's needs and align your solution with these needs. Then, confidently ask for the demo. You might say something like, "Based on our discussion, I think a product demo would be of incredible value to you and your organization. How does Thursday at 2 p.m. sound?"   📝 Homework: On your next sales call, decide beforehand what commitment you want from your prospect and how you're going to ask for it.
