I was a Jesuit Volunteer in Richmond, Virginia at the Legal Aid Justice Center in 2001-2002 where my ministry found me working with the homeless and indigent of Richmond to help them with a variety of legal issues that they encountered on a daily basis from filing bankruptcies to staving off housing evictions in civil court. My experiences were immeasurable and left and left and indelible impression on me. To this day, assisting the homeless in our communities remains an important passion and…
