Bubble for Enterprise? Yes, it’s possible. Some time ago, Mike Guzowski asked me about the Enterprise features of Bubble.io, and I promised to write a post about it. Finally, I have the time, and here it is - a short summary of features that could be interesting for big companies looking to enter the #nocode space. Bubble's Enterprise plan is specifically designed to meet the demands and compliance requirements of large organizations. The biggest difference between the other plans is that on Enterprise you can migrate your app to an isolated instance of Bubble-managed AWS server, giving you choice of hosting region, a static IP address and greater control of server resources and updates. While you cannot use your own cloud, this gives you separate instance from all the other apps, with your own dedicated resources. Check out the full episode at the link below. 👮 Police salaries in the US keep climbing the longer you serve. Fresh out of the academy (after 8 months of training), you're looking at $65K a year. Stick around for 2 years, and that jumps to $81K. The benefits are pretty sweet too — 30 days of vacation and up to $6,000 a year for education expenses. 🧾 Getting into the force is no cakewalk. You've got to ace a written test, crush a physical, fill out a crazy detailed 10-year background check, pass a lie detector test, clear a psych eval, and impress a panel of officers in an interview. 🤝 In the acting world, it's all about who you know. Rubbing elbows with casting directors, producers, and directors can seriously boost your career. Pro tip: Hit up some casting director workshops. They'll set you back about $400-500, but they're worth it. 💰 Non-union actors just starting out might pull in $200-500 a day. The case study: Trademark registration website migration from Drupal 7 to 9. This migration happened a couple of years ago, and the project itself consisted of several advanced landing pages with wonderful content and special interfaces. The main part of the project was API integrations with several data providers, which helped users do pre-scoring and businesses calculate the scope of work beforehand. So, users can easily design what kind of trademark they want to register and where and how they want to register it. Then, the system and the website calculate the scope of work, timing, money, and delivery. Users can order everything from a website with fair pricing and a fair understanding of what will happen and what they will receive. It was super important for the customer to keep all these integrations. Still, the customer would also like to be upgraded from the deprecated seven version to a newer version, Drupal Nine, at that moment. But now they are on Drupal 10. And, of course, we will help them to be on Drupal 11 soon. During this migration, we not only migrated content, users, and interfaces for content managers and administrators but also refactored and reimplemented the new Drupal core. All these loyal trademark-specific API data provider integrations are custom parts, but we also helped the customer streamline SEO functionality here. The website started to be better ranked in Google in different languages and with various requests from potential users and customers. We also implemented a new mobile-first look and feel that helped customers with proper value proposition communications. 📉 Why do companies lose more than $20 million a year? 😱 Because of downtime and glitches in apps and websites, I see Russian companies losing around $20 million a year, according to a study by Veeam Software. The main damage from these issues is more about reputation: employees lose trust in the company, consumers lose faith in the brand, search rankings drop, and the manufacturer’s reputation suffers. In a highly competitive market, these factors can lead to a company's downfall, especially if glitches happen regularly.  I've been working to prevent these kinds of problems for over 10 years. As a DevOps engineer and IT manager, I set up reliable infrastructures in some of the biggest companies in Russia across various sectors. By successfully executing a complex project, I helped VTB Bank become a leader in the industry. At the Samotlor holding, I created a file service that could survive simultaneous server crashes. My unique experience at Gazprom's subsidiary, PPTK Ltd, made me an expert that other IT organizations now turn to for advice. 🤝 I believe that reliable systems can handle most threats to a company's stability and protect it from reputational and financial losses. The list of risks includes not just human error or technical failures but also natural disasters like fires, strong winds, heavy rain, or earthquakes. These systems are crucial for companies' stable operations and are in high demand.  My years of implementing similar projects in large organizations have helped me achieve great results. For instance, at PPTK, which is part of Gazprom, I completely overhauled the infrastructure in just four years—from 2015 to 2019—following best practices for reliability and resilience, as well as introducing security and auditing systems.  💻 Back then, I got rid of bulky PCs in the office by using Windows Terminal Server technology. Instead of big computer towers, employees had small NUC thin clients—just 10 by 10 cm—that didn’t even have hard drives; everything booted over the network using PXE boot. Anyone could sit at any desk, log in, and access their "computer." All necessary data was safely stored on servers, which could be accessed even from offices in different cities.  I was among the first in the EMEA region to set up an All-Flash Array from Pure Storage, using iSCSI technology along with some less common Ubiquiti equipment. This was a unique experience, and it led many IT professionals to seek my advice. PPTK gained a significant advantage in the industry and saved a lot of money by adopting this technology. Day two at GeeCON in Kraków and I’m feeling like a kid in a candy store. 🍭 Last month I was lucky to win a ticket to this conference at GenAI Cracow meetup, and you know how they say: “You don’t know what you’ve lost until you find it”? That’s exactly how I feel right now. The sheer diversity of lectures spanning across various IT spheres is mind-boggling. There’s something for everyone here. Key takeaways: • The US remains the world's tech hub and this is unlikely to change in the next 10-20 years.
