There is a lot of work required to first understand your organization's key business and operational initiatives (that is, how does your organization create value for its stakeholders), the desired outcomes, the key decisions you need to optimize, and the KPIs and metrics against which to measure outcomes and decision effectiveness. And also remember, that "AI" is not just a single tool, but is a category that includes many different types of "AI" including Analytical, Causal, Generative, and Autonomous. As the article states, there is a "boom" in GenAI. Are PwC jumping on the bandwagon to now shoehorn #OpenAI tech to their customers. In a lot of cases, end users have some FOMO on the whole AI adoption. Our end user engagements, sometimes, consist of enterprises, both public and private, are never sure of where to start. The question is will PwC now be issuing consultancy pointing to one GenAI adoption method. With the advent of opensource software, bare metal High-Performance Compute, and existing data sets the end user has the ability to test their own AI ideas at low cost before making a wholesale change to IT systems and or processes.
