Daily Lift – June 9, 2024 Daily Lift – Gospel Broadcasting Network Riches of His Grace At the Second of Ephesians, the apostle Paul described God as rich in mercy, while First Peter one describes God’s mercy as abundant. To be sure, we are given to understand that Divine mercy is in no short supply. One might regard mercy as descriptive of God’s attitude toward man, while grace may describe the expression of that mercy to humanity. Paul taught that it is through faith that we benefit from God’s grace, not by works. However, one should not conclude that works play no role in redemption. Both the Eleventh of Hebrews and the Second of James teach us that it is by works that faith is manifested to God, Who then extends the grace that saves. Hence, Paul wrote that God is not only rich in mercy but also extends to us the exceeding riches of His grace. Invitation: Will you Believe the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30)? Will you Repent of your sins, without which you will never be forgiven (Luke 13:3,5; Acts 17:30)? Will you Confess faith in Jesus as God’s only begotten Son and that he is the savior of the world (Matt. 10:32-33; Acts 8:37; Rom. 10:9-10)? If you believe, repent and confess, you can be Baptized in water in order to receive the forgiveness of your sins (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21). Why not now?

At some point in your life You learn the difference Between love and attachment Promises and potential And actions and words And to allow a person’s behavior over time to reveal who they truly are Rather than their positive intentions. At some point in your life Rather than awaiting the approval, validation, and acceptance of others You learn to water your own garden Uplift your own spirit Nourish your own soul And become your own best friend Understanding that the power to feel good about yourself Build a better life And rewrite your story and destiny Has existed within you all along. At some point in your life Rather than remaining trapped in a perpetual state of fear, self-doubt, and insecurity You learn to face the world boldly and confidently With your head held high And to view yourself As the hero of your life Master of your destiny And creator of your reality And to not give anyone else permission to shape how you view yourself and your potential Through taking full responsibility for yourself, your life, and your actions. At some point in your life Slowly but surely You learn to approach life From a perspective of love And not allow the mistakes, fears, insecurities, and limitations of others To color and shape your vision Of what is possible for your own life Or prevent you from seeing the beauty that exists in the world. And at some point in your life You learn to recognize your worth And say no to what doesn’t promote growth, health, happiness, and healing Or anything that holds you back and keeps you feeling down To soar freely So that you may embrace life For the truly magical adventure, it can be. We don’t earn our way to salvation; it's freely given to all who believe in Jesus. Receiving it costs nothing, but living in alignment with God's perfect will costs everything. Even when God asks something of you, it brings you closer to Him and improves your life. Don’t fight the pressure; embrace it. You don’t know what God is up to. The pressure is getting you in a position for God to do something that you’ve never seen. You could feel overwhelmed, discouraged. God has you in the palm of His hand. He didn’t bring you this far to fail you. Stay in faith. That pressure is working on the inside. It’s getting you prepared. Your yes is coming. That opposition was ordained by God. It’s causing you to stretch, to believe, to trust, to dig down deeper. God sees your faithfulness. He sees you doing the right thing when it’s hard, being at peace in the pressure, staying calm in the conflict. You are passing the test. God uses pressure. He uses opposition, things that are not fair, things that make us uncomfortable. If we’ll have the right perspective, instead of being discouraged, trying to straighten them out, we'll use that as fuel for our faith, to pray, to stretch, to believe. Then, instead of stopping us, it will propel us forward. You can’t pray away the opposition. God’s not going to remove what He’s using to keep you growing, stretching, believing. Don’t fight the pressure; embrace it. Use it as fuel to go further, to believe bigger, to trust that God is in control.

Life is full of challenges, but there is no battle that God can’t handle. Whatever you’re facing, remember: 👉🏽 God is BIGGER than any problem. 📖 Proverbs 1:7 tells us that wisdom starts with respecting God. When we honor Him, we begin to understand life better. It's not about being scared of Him, but showing Him our respect. As we seek God with this respect, we uncover wisdom. This helps us discover what life is truly about and what our purpose is. So, let's walk with God, showing Him respect.
