Question for Salesforce Experts ✍ I've been working extensively with Salesforce and have come across a question that I haven't seen documented anywhere. While I know about the limit of 100 outbound HTTP callouts per transaction, I'm curious to know if there are any daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly outbound HTTP callout limits specifically for when Salesforce is the client. 🔍 Does anyone know if such limits exist? I've scoured the Salesforce documentation and forums but haven't found a definitive answer. If any Salesforce experts out there can shed some light on this, your insights would be greatly appreciated! PS : I am NOT talking about the API Limits(Inbound calls to Salesforce), I am aware of those limits. 🙂 Any info is appreciated! Question for Salesforce Developer - I have Class B, and I need the sharing behavior of Class B's methods to be dynamically determined at runtime. Specifically, if Class B is invoked by Class A which is declared as with sharing, then Class B should execute in with sharing mode. This issue has left many of us scratching our heads, but don’t worry, there’s a simple solution! 🚩 The Problem: With the latest update, many XPaths have changed, and the getText() method is no longer reliable for fetching the record owner value. This is likely due to changes in the DOM structure and how text content is rendered in Salesforce. 🔧 The Solution: Instead of relying on getText(), you can use the getAttribute("textContent") method to fetch the value. We have implemented this method instead of getText() and it work with the updated xpath of salesforce record owner web element. Here’s a quick example: // Locate the element using XPath WebElement recordOwnerElement = driver.findElement(By.xpath("YOUR_XPATH_HERE")); // Fetch the record owner value using getAttribute("textContent") String ownerText = recordOwnerElement.getAttribute("textContent"); System.out.println("Record Owner: " + ownerText); Why this works: The getAttribute("textContent") method directly retrieves the text content from the DOM, bypassing issues that may arise from Salesforce's custom elements and rendering changes. There has been a lot of discussion recently about the future of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) specifically those specialized engineers who have spent there career working with it. This has become especially true with the recent focus by Salesforce at Dreamforce 24 on Core Commerce. As some one who has excelled in this industry for many years now and, has successfully expanded my skillset to Salesforce Core I thought it made sense to share my thoughts on this topic. I was on a call with a Salesforce practice lead the other day, taking him through how our agent works. While discussing test coverage, we talked about how our agent increases test coverage — by looking at huge chunks of code that aren't currently covered and prioritizing them. This discussion around test coverage seemed to be a real lightbulb moment for him. You could see the gears turning as he realized just how closely our agent emulates the thought processes of an experienced human developer. "This is how I would do it too!" Clearly, the agent's approach to identifying gaps in test coverage and then systematically tackling those high-impact areas resonated deeply with his own intuitions and best practices. This was a powerful validation for us. With that, we were able to succinctly convey that our agent isn't just some black box automation, but a tool that truly captures the essence of how skilled Salesforce developers think and problem-solve. The practice lead could see himself in the agent's methodical approach. I could palpably feel his mood change from skeptical to curious. He then went on to ask us more about how the agent handles the complexities of data setup and custom objects, which can be major pain points for human teams. You could tell he was mentally mapping our explanations onto his own experience, imagining how such an agent could streamline and elevate the QA efforts of his entire delivery team. Largely, the agent's ability to think like a seasoned Salesforce professional was a revelation. It erased any doubts he might have had and positioned our solution as an indispensable, collaborative partner — not just a generic automation tool. The possibility of having an AI teammate working with you on things is genuinely exciting, especially when it mirrors your own reasoning. It gets you thinking about how you can use AI teammates to unlock new possibilities and raise the bar on delivery speed and reliability. In the Salesforce Partner ecosystem, there are teams that just want to "get it done and move on" and there are teams that want to "do it right." We are discovering that, counterintuitively, the latter are much more enthusiastic about our value proposition than the former. And that's probably because they care about code quality and now see how shipping quality code at speed will no longer be an oxymoron.

Real random thoughts I've had while working in Salesforce Setup: 1. Why are the sections in the Quick Find sidebar NOT in alphabetical order? 2. Why can't I just run a report to find out which Salesforce Flows have specific elements (e.g. Send Email, Apex Action)? 3. Why is ChatGPT convinced that there is a ISLEAPYEAR() function for formula fields? (I mean I WISH there were, but that's another story) 4. Do people actually use joined reports or do we all just have to learn about them to pass the Admin exam? 5. Why is Aura. Just...why is Aura. Anyone care to share their own random thoughts?

This seems to be bigger news than it sounds. Salesforce has cherry-picked the best parts of the technology stacks from recent acquisitions (such as Vlocity Industry Apps), completely rebuilt and now offers an end-to-end Revenue Op tools aiming for the future. Does it mean the Salesforce CPQ and the current Revenue Cloud tool sets are now "legacy"? Probably. Stay tuned. #salesforce #cpq #industryclouds #RLM

Who is Salesforce primarily designing for? An easy question to answer, right? Let's break it down. Within the Salesforce ecosystem we have: 🏢 Customers 🏢 Configuration Partners - consultants, etc 🏢 Software Partners - AWS, Snowflake, etc 🏢 Application Partners - essentially the AppExchange Already, we can see that each of these groups has different needs and different budgetary requirements. Making it difficult to build a platform to satisfy everyone. --- So, who gets the priority? The customer? The Partners who bring in revenue through their network effects? Let's say it's the customer, is it: 🤖 Enterprise 🤖 Midmarket 🤖 SMB Each of these categories have different needs, different resources, and frankly opinions. I'd venture to say that an Enterprise approaches things quite differently than an SMB. --- Going further, within the categories we have: 📜 Finance and Insurance 📜 Manufacturing 📜 Commerce 📜 Healthcare And then target personas: 👩‍💻 Marketers 👩‍💻 Sales 👩‍💻 Service 👩‍💻 Finance/Accounting --- So at the end of the day, who is Salesforce prioritizing and targeting features for? Is it an Enterprise? Or perhaps a Marketer? These are important questions to have as they inform product development. For example, if the target is an SMB Marketer, Flows (you knew it was coming) will have a lot less guardrails than if the target is an Enterprise Engineering team. --- At the end of the day, you can't be everything to everyone. So who is Salesforce trying to be? What do you think? Is Salesforce losing a bit of identity? Do you feel like you're the target customer? #salesforce #businesssystems #salesforcearchitects
