Generic self-development coaching is hardly comparable to Emotional Intelligence executive coaching for leadership or physician burnout. For executive coaching services procured by organizations like Loudoun County, the payee (coaching firm) typically proposes pricing structures and rates, which the contracting organization negotiates and agrees upon. Specifically, the RFP requires the coaching firm to provide the cost to administer 360 leadership assessments for around 100 leaders. Cost for group assessment interpretation sessions for groups of up to 20 leaders Hourly rate for individual coaching services. The organization will be billed for any other expenses. This indicates that while the coaching firm proposes pricing, the contracting organization has the final say in determining reasonable rates for the required services. The results do not explicitly differentiate between life coaching for personal development and executive/leadership coaching. However, it is sensible to expect pricing structures to differ based on the coaching objectives, target audience, and specific services provided. Organizations would likely negotiate appropriate rates commensurate with the value and complexity of the coaching engagement. Coaching is an important industry and should not be looked down on from one bad experience. That said, people need to understand the importance of certification in the industry. If a coach is certified it adds to their coaching credential because they’ve had to go through a set of things to obtain that certification. People who get into this business need to understand that coaching isn’t just a side gig. You are changing people’s lives as a coach. It increases your likelihood of success in working with a coach if they are credentialed.

Success Coaching, at the highest level, requires a significant amount of patience and skill.
