Dialogue is valuable, as long as it includes all the correct stakeholders… and don’t forget to include your clients (and/or) prospects into this dialogue as well. We’ve all see or been part of efforts that turned out to be great solutions but completely missed meeting the need of the market.

You're feeling stuck in your job. What can you do to reignite your passion?
Sometimes we forget that a job is in itself a means to an end. We shouldn’t live to work, rather work to live. If we leave our jobs the company will replace us within a matter of days… so we should focus on the relationships where we are not replaceable like with our family, spouse, children, and so on. Work provides us the opportunity to earn a living so we can do the things we are personally passionate about. It’s ok to not love your job… not loving your job does not necessarily mean it’s the wrong job for you (though it could be a leading indicator), if you bring value to your employer and you find some satisfaction in the work that’s a great place to be in. Work to live, not live to work.

My family and I had the opportunity to serve those devastated by the Tornado's in Joplin, MO. We were on the ground week 2, then week 6, then week 10. We got to be involved in all 3 phases of the post-disaster process: Relief, Recovery, Rebuild. A life-changing experience, and so glad we were able to do this together as a family.
