Projects

  • Wave! by Neural Ninja

    -

Using the OpenPose API for pose-estimation combined with a custom neural network written in Python using the TensorFlow framework, 3 other interns and myself were able to help a robot (Pepper NAOqi interfaced with using C++ and the Libqi API) understand gestures, particularly waves, to help facilitate an actual conversation. Group also experimented with RNNs/LSTMs written in PyTorch.

Using the Keras, Tensorflow, and Caffe frameworks on C++ and Python, I built neural networks that can teach a RC Car to steer and detect people for the purpose of aiding fire evacuation in an efficient and safe manner. The networks were constructed using a concatenation of 2D LiDAR and camera image data for steering, and image data for people recognition. The RC Car was interfaced with using a Jetson TX2 running Linux4Tegra. For more information, check out the Github repository here:…

Using Swift, map-based localization, and Firebase, was able to create an app that crowdsourced crime news happening in anyone's neighborhood. Would produce new and updated witness-based news to increase community awareness.

Wrote Python, OpenCV, and Socket based code that could find the coordinates of different objects and transmit them to a robot, which would mimic those motions, thus providing "human to robot interaction".
