Improving animal health is a climate change solution. The livestock industry is indispensable as our global food system must serve approximately 10 billion people by 2050. Through sustainable production, healthy livestock can be a powerful ally in combating climate change and bolstering food security, reducing carbon, and enhancing biodiversity. Solutions already exist that help make the livestock industry more sustainable – farmers already use data-driven insights for herd health and vaccines protect against disease. The global community must work together to guarantee accessibility to efficient livestock production. Recently, we had the pleasure of returning to the London Vet Show & BVA. Our team was excited to present our latest advancement in diagnostic technology, Vetscan OptiCell™ - the first cartridge-based, AI-powered hematology analyzer. This new tool utilizes advanced AI image recognition technology to provide reference lab quality analysis at the point of care, saving veterinary healthcare teams valuable time and costs, so they can do more of what they love most – caring for animals. As world leaders focus on climate action, it's crucial to recognize the role livestock farmers play in raising healthy, productive livestock while ensuring thriving food systems for a growing global population. A grant from Zoetis Foundation supports The Nature Conservancy’s work in Brazil’s Cerrado region, where farmers are receiving training on agricultural practices like improving soil health, managing drought, and restoring pastures. Through these methods, farmers can improve productivity while helping conserve the environment. Hear from a farmer who’s seen the difference firsthand and learn more about how the Zoetis Foundation is helping farmers adapt and thrive in the face of climate challenges: https://lnkd.in/eWwf3caq #Sustainability

Members of our leadership team recently visited South Africa and Kenya to meet with customers, colleagues, and animal health industry leaders. In South Africa, the team visited some of our companion animal veterinary customers and a local wildlife hospital, where they witnessed how our vaccines, medicines, and diagnostics tools are making a difference in keeping pets healthy and supporting wildlife conservation. In Kenya, they spent a day in Isiolo County with World Food Program USA seeing first-hand the powerful impact of the Zoetis Foundation’s grant supporting rural pastoralists’ livelihoods. While in Nairobi, they learned more about the incredible impact of our A.L.P.H.A. Plus initiative to boost sustainable livestock health in the region. We are expanding veterinary capabilities in Sub‑Saharan Africa which will ultimately lead to healthier and more productive animals and improve food security. This visit allowed our team to immerse themselves in the culture and foster significant connections that will advance our commitment to animal health globally. #AnimalHealth
