Zenith Aircraft Company introduces final hole size matched-drilled Zenith CH 650 kit for simplified assembly. "Our goal has always been to make aircraft building as straightforward and rewarding as possible," stated Sebastien Heintz, president of Zenith Aircraft, the number one producer of light sport aircraft (LSA) in the United States. "The introduction of matched-hole technology in the Zenith CH 650 kit is a game-changer for builders, allowing them to focus more on the joy of building and flying their own aircraft." #BuildItFlyIt #zenithair #zenithaircraft #SportPilot #LightSportAircraft #zenair

Zenith STOL CH 750 Super Duty with customized repositionable "un-panel" with dual Dynon Avionics SkyView displays mounted to the Zenith articulating arms. Removing the traditional instrument panel provides more cabin space, improves visibility from the cabin, and makes getting in and out of the airplane easier. #BuildItFlyIt #ZenithAircraft #zenair

Impressive steep approach and grass field landing in a Zenith CH 601/650. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the low-wing CH600-series designs from aeronautical engineer Chris Heintz. #BuildItFlyIt This video was first shared by David Gerdeman: "I attended a mountain fly in gathering in Kentucky and caught N601Q slipping it in nicely." #ch601 #zenair

Zenith Aircraft’s hands-on workshops are primarily for first-time kit airplane builders and are popular with sport aviation enthusiasts who are considering to build their own kit airplane and who want to learn more about the the required skills, tools, workspace, and more. As part of the workshop each participant builds and assembles their own Zenith aircraft rudder tail section from a standard Zenith kit. Most participants are able to successfully complete the assembly of their own rudder tail section of the aircraft in just one day, thanks mainly to the high level of completion offered with Zeniths new kits, featuring final hole size, match-drilled parts. In the process of building the rudder assembly, participants tackle many activities including learning how to read drawings (blueprints) and work with assembly instructions (manuals) under the guidance of factory staff. They learn the procedures for putting together an aircraft assembly, including drilling and blind riveting. In the end, they have an assembled rudder that is ready to install on a Zenith kit airplane and the confidence to build their very own kit airplane. “The rest of the kit is constructed the same way as the rudder, using the same tools,” said Heintz. “Participants get far more out of the workshop than just a finished aircraft rudder: they go home with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to build their own airplane. Most importantly, they learn that kit building is enjoyable and something that can engage the whole family. Many of our prospective builders bring their spouses or other family member, who often encourage them to move forward with the rest of the kit. With modern technology, such as final hole size CNC match drilled parts, and good instructions, aircraft construction has become much easier than most people think.” The hands-on workshop is an excellent way to learn about building your own (amateur-built) kit airplane and about the many advantages of owning and flying an airplane that you’ve built yourself. Kit aircraft is a segment of general aviation that continues to grow (while many general aviation activities decline). For many, building an aircraft is a very rewarding experience, and today’s modern kits make it easier and quicker to build than even before. "The Zenith CH 750 Cruzer is a modern, all-metal, two-seat kit aircraft designed for sport pilots." From SimpleFlying.com: "Amateur homebuilt aircraft have existed since the Wright Brothers. Planes built in spare hours in garages and basements became so popular in the post-WWII years that an entire industry gave life to a very big organization—the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), which now has more than 300,000 members. "Sport flying enthusiasts no longer must learn to weld or find airframe and engine mechanics to supervise their work. They can purchase complete, thoroughly tested, proven kits that supply all parts and components and detailed assembly instructions. "The CH 750 CRUZER is the “airport runway” version of the Zenith STOL CH 750 'bush' plane. Both aircraft are known for their spacious side-by-side cabins and two-door cabin access. Zenith Aircraft Company designed the CH 750 Cruzer from a clean sheet, but it shares characteristics with its STOL predecessors, the CH 701 'Sky Jeep' and the CH 750/750SD sport utility aircraft. "The CH 750 Cruzer is known for its ease of construction and forgiving flight characteristics, making it an excellent choice for first-time builders and pilots." - Simple Flying, by Randall Brink, October 14, 2024, https://bit.ly/406f4lk - Photo of the Zenith CH 750 Cruzer by Paul Andrews.
