  • As 2024 comes to a close, we want to thank every client and candidate who partnered with Yozi Search & Selection this year. Your trust and collaboration have been the foundation of our success. To our clients: Thank you for choosing us to help build your teams. Supporting you in finding the talent to drive your businesses forward has been a privilege. To our candidates: Thank you for letting us guide your career journey. Seeing your growth and successes has inspired us to keep raising our standards of putting the right people in the right places. This year brought growth, challenges, and rewards. MedTech hiring grew more complex for companies to attract the industries best, Ads are less effective and talent are receiving a greater volume of transactional outreach on the daily. Candidates became clearer on what they want from the outset - they sought clarity, purpose, and cultures that live their values. Helping businesses stand out in this competitive market has been fulfilling. We’re also proud to have expanded into the US - a milestone we’re excited to build on. Looking ahead to 2025, we’re energised by the opportunities to come and remain dedicated to helping you achieve your goals. Here’s to a successful year ahead! • You may have no problems attracting the Medtech industries best... Your talent pipeline is full with strong candidates. But then... a mishire... And another, then another... Why does it keep happening? Because hiring isn’t just about attracting talent - it’s about assessing it. Here’s the harsh reality: → Humans are brilliant at influencing and persuading. → Bias sneaks into hiring decisions. → Interviews? They often reveal charm, not capability. And sure, unpredictability plays a role. Personal issues can impact performance. But that’s just 5% of the problem. The other 95%? Your assessment strategy needs work. Don’t let polished interviews or pedigrees misguide you. Instead: → Dig deep into the data. → Refine how you assess - and let that dictate who you hire. When you get 𝗵𝗼𝘄 you hire right, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 you hire takes care of itself.

  • Struggled to hire the Medtech industries best players in 2024? You’re not alone. In the last year, we have seen companies face challenges like: → A growing gap between business demand and talent → Failing to engage talent due to unclear / generic EVP → Frustration over misaligned recruitment processes Here’s the truth: hiring isn’t harder - it’s changed... An influx of agencies into the industry has lowered the bar on what companies expect from a recruiter. Most companies view recruiters as a commodity and rarely experience the high-impact of a processed-driven search firm. To stand out, companies must go back to basics. → Build relationships for tomorrow, not just yesterday → Strengthen your EVP beyond buzzwords → Partner with a recruiter who listens AND consults At Yozi Search & Selection, we specialise in helping MedTech companies navigate these modern shifts. If you're based in the UK, EU or US and raising the bar of your hiring efforts is a priority heading into 2025, get in touch with one of the team: Callum Moore - Head of Global (Building UK, EU & US) Charlie Mott - Head of US (Building US teams) Jody Chandler - Executive Consultant (Building UK teams)

  • Bracco - The Max 3 injector, developed collaboratively by Bracco Diagnostics and ulrich GmbH, represents a significant advancement in MRI technology. FDA 510(k) clearance underscores its innovative design, featuring advanced capabilities that streamline workflow, enhance patient safety, and promote environmental sustainability in MRI procedures. Key Features of Max 3: 1 - Syringeless Design: Direct injection from original contrast media vials eliminates the need for syringe refilling, streamlining the process. This feature reduces handling time and potential contamination risks. 2 - Cordless Operation: The absence of power cables allows the injector to be flexibly positioned within the MRI room, enhancing convenience. It operates safely within magnetic field strengths of up to 50mT, making it compatible with most MRI environments. 3 - Easy-Click-Cassette Flex System: Equipped with SafeConnect, a specialised connector for patient tubing that prevents retrograde contamination Designed for multiple uses within a 24-hour period or for up to 96 contrast media vials, further optimising workflow efficiency. 4 - Sustainability: The syringeless design reduces plastic waste, helping hospitals manage environmental impact and disposal costs. 5 - Focus on Patient Care: The simplified operation enables technologists to concentrate more on patient interaction and comfort during procedures. This FDA-cleared device is expected to bring value to radiology departments by improving operational efficiency, enhancing patient safety, and promoting eco-friendly practices in healthcare.

  • A new plan is being introduced to significantly reduce the use of single use medical devices in healthcare services. The government has launched a major initiative to cut NHS waste and save millions annually, redirecting funds to frontline care. The new Design for Life strategy aims to drastically reduce single use medical devices, which contribute significantly to the 156,000 tonnes of clinical waste generated in England each year. The plan emphasises reuse, remanufacturing, and recycling, while reducing reliance on foreign imports. Disposable devices, including high cost items like £500 harmonic shears, are frequently discarded after one use. Companies are already remanufacturing such products safely and cost-effectively. The government will incentivise more innovation like this, updating procurement rules to favour sustainable solutions and highlighting waste cutting successes in NHS hospitals. Currently, £10 billion is spent annually on medical technology, much of it imported via fragile supply chains. The shift to a circular economy could create 500,000 UK jobs and inject £75 billion into the economy by 2030, supported by the Circular Economy Taskforce, which promotes greener, resource smart practices.
