‼️Today, let's look into the misconception surrounding labeling individuals as DE&I candidates. How many times have we heard remarks like "they only got the job to meet a quota"? Whether it's a woman's promotion, hiring a person with a disability, or a person of color securing a high-paying job, these labels diminish their hard-earned achievements. When someone is tagged as a DE&I hire, their value is undermined, insinuating they didn't have to strive as hard. In reality, many from these groups worked tirelessly, often twice as hard , to prove their worth. DE&I isn't about handouts; it's about opening doors and providing opportunities. Individuals still need to walk through those doors themselves, proving their merit every step of the way. 💡Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are crucial as they pave the way for learning from diverse perspectives, moving us forward instead of regressing. Embracing DE&I isn't about shortcuts; it's about progress and ensuring a future where everyone has a fair chance to succeed. Let's celebrate diversity, value inclusivity, and strive for a more equitable future together #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion

My idea creating @youareanoutlier is to help military spouses and/ or moms with employment. ‼️It’s tough especially as military spouses when we end up at remote locations or overseas and we need to figure out what we are going to do. Many of us have degrees and are highly educated but we had to pivot jobs multiple times because what we have experience in might not be available where we are now . 🗣️I have friends who are foreign born military spouses with master degrees in science but because of the location they are in now - the only job that they can get is working min wage at hotels! Let’s change that and make sure that you can get the career you want - no matter if your spouse is in the military’s or not. I am planning a small video series where I will talk about what you can do and where you can find help !
