However, we know that even the most impactful individual workshops struggle to illicit long-term, sustainable change. To mitigate this, X-Factor Solutions incorporates client check-ins as a way of assessing and promoting ongoing commitment to change. Whether these take the form of quick “pulse checks” or formal program commencement ceremonies, we always advocate for scheduled touchpoints to support prolonged client success. This past fall, we kicked off 6 and 9-month pulse checks for all of our Q1 and Q2 2024 clients, asking them to reflect on their respective workshops’ experiences, continue to leverage the lessons learned from their programs, explore additional efforts to enhance the learning/change, and celebrate what they have accomplished to-date! In early October, we had the opportunity to meet and speak with a group of fifteen visiting educators from Africa, as part of the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). This five-city exploration was entitled Developing University Partnerships: Connecting African Universities with HBCUs - A Regional Project for Africa and was arranged by the Mississippi Consortium for International Development (MCID).
