This Giving Tuesday, YOU can make the dream of financial independence a reality! Every $1,000 donated brings another woman into the Working for Women community, where she gains access to the support, opportunities, and skills she needs to achieve financial independence. Your gift isn’t just a donation – it’s a hand extended to women like Kateryna. Meet Kateryna: After fleeing war in Ukraine, Kateryna faced the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding her life in a new country. With the support of Working for Women, she not only found her footing but also discovered her voice. Today, Kateryna is confidently pursuing a brighter future for herself and her family – proof of what’s possible when women are given the resources to thrive. Here’s how you can help: You don’t have to do it alone. Bring your giving circle, book club, or other communities together and raise $1,000 as a team. Every little bit adds up, and together, you can transform a woman’s life. Whether it’s pooling resources, hosting a mini fundraiser, or simply spreading the word, you have the power to make an impact. Donate now and be part of her journey: https://bit.ly/4ezyJhg Together, let’s build bridges and create opportunities for women like Kateryna. #GivingTuesday #EmpowerHer #WorkingForWomen #MakeADifference

This Black Friday, spend and invest your money in women-owned businesses and businesses that support equality. To find companies that have demonstrated their commitment to equality – and which haven’t, check with our friends over at Gender Fair: A Public Benefit Corporation. The Gender Fair app allows you to evaluate a company's commitment to gender equality by providing ratings on various factors like leadership, employee policies, and advertising, enabling you to make informed purchasing decisions based on a company's stance on gender fairness; essentially, it lets you scan products while shopping to see how well a brand aligns with gender equality values Put your 💵 behind your values! https://lnkd.in/eCs59Zik #GenderFair #Equality #iBuyGenderFair

Who doesn’t love empanadas? Especially when they’re made with heart and purpose. Latin Goodness Foods/MasPanadas, a small but mighty woman-owned business in Maryland, has grown from Margarita Womack’s home kitchen into a nationally recognized brand. Margarita, originally from Colombia, turned her passion for empanadas—her favorite childhood snack—into a thriving business that employs nearly 80 people and runs a 24-hour factory. You can now find MasPanadas at Costco Wholesale, Wegmans Food Markets’s, Whole Foods Market, and more! But MasPanadas is about so much more than delicious food. Margarita has built her company on values like opportunity, fair wages, and respect for everyone—creating a culture that benefits her business, her employees, and their families. We love celebrating stories like this because they show the power of women entrepreneurs who are making a difference in their communities and beyond. Read the Full NPR Story here: https://lnkd.in/eBTGJ335 Together, let’s support women building a better future for all of us.

Who else is excited about today's opening of Wicked? Are you going? Dressing up? Bringing your girls? Wicked highlights the power of female friendship in defying societal expectations. Elphaba and Glinda support each other despite their differences, showing how women can rise above stereotypes, celebrate each other's uniqueness, and grow stronger together. Their bond illustrates that, by empowering one another, women can find their true voices and create change, united by resilience and mutual respect. The themes in Wicked resonate strongly with Working for Women's mission to uplift and empower women. Like the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda, Working for Women brings together businesses and nonprofits to support women, helping them break through barriers and embrace their strengths. This collaborative approach echoes the story's message: women are stronger when they lift each other up, creating meaningful opportunities and lasting change. Everyone deserves a chance to fly! #InvestInWomen #WickedtheMovie To get tickets to the movie: https://lnkd.in/e-7csG7Y To support our mission: https://lnkd.in/dpzt63Ve
