On Wednesday morning, we welcomed our panel of male allies to share insights and strategies for advocating for gender equality, addressing unconscious bias and the importance of creating a more inclusive workplace culture. Inclusive leadership is critical for advancing gender equality in the legal profession, and men play a crucial role in driving this change. Did you get a chance to join Tuesday afternoon’s Fishbowl Sessions at #WIPL? In the center of the room, the ‘fishbowl’, a moderator and 2-3 experts were seated alongside an empty chair. Participants then entered the fishbowl for a discussion point and could leave to open the spot for someone else to join, making for a fast-moving, highly interactive moderated discussion. Topics included: Non-Compete Dilemmas, Guaging the Value of AI, Getting on the Same Page as Outside Counsel & Engaging New Generations.

The annual Women Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) Awards took place Tuesday evening, honoring top female lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession from trailblazers, advocates and leaders. The awards commenced with a cocktail networking reception, followed by the awards ceremony and dinner. Categories included: Thought Leadership, DEI Champion, Mental Health & Wellbeing Advocate, Managing Partner of the Year and more!

Monday’s closing keynote Horizon Scanning: Exploring the Future Landscape of the Legal Profession brought together a panel of dynamic and diverse experts to discuss the evolution of the legal landscape in the next 5-10 years. The discussion centered around business acumen, legal project management and AI’s current and potential capabilities.
