  • Here’s a more compelling and inspiring version of the post: Celebrating the Spirit of Entrepreneurship! Entrepreneurship isn’t just about building businesses—it’s about adapting, innovating, and persevering. This post by Nike Roach captures that journey beautifully, and we couldn’t agree more. We are thrilled to see such extraordinary leaders sharing their stories and wisdom. From Marcus Cox’s leap of faith into the coffee industry to Desmond A. Wiggan Jr.’s bold venture into mobile power solutions, every story reminds us of the grit and vision it takes to create something impactful. As Nike highlighted, growth doesn’t happen by chance—it requires daily commitment, sacrifices, and an unwavering belief in your vision. These lessons align perfectly with what we strive to cultivate at the Winston-Salem Women’s Business Center: a community of resilient, bold entrepreneurs ready to make their mark. To all the dreamers, creators, and doers: What’s your story? Let’s continue to lift each other up, challenge the status quo, and build a future we can all be proud of. #Entrepreneurship #Inspiration #GrowthMindset #Innovation #BuildingTogether

What an absolute honor to sit alongside a panel of extraordinary business innovators representing industries like coffee, staffing, energy, and business resources. Honestly, I’m still amazed I was invited to contribute to such a dynamic discussion—thank you, Dr Notis Pagiavlas for this incredible opportunity. 🙌 True to the entrepreneurial spirit, when we arrived early and the room wasn’t set up, the entire panel jumped in to make things happen. Because that’s what they do—business builders adapt, overcome, and find solutions. A few takeaways that left me inspired and energized (chill bumps included): - Be **fanatical** about growing your business. Growth doesn’t happen passively. - Branding isn’t a one-off task—it’s a **constant evolution**. Get comfortable building it every single day. - Sacrifice is inevitable. If you haven’t exchanged sleep, money, friendships, or food yet, are you fully committed? Hearing the stories of my fellow panelists was nothing short of jaw-dropping. For example, Marcus Cox took a leap of faith, leaving a secure corporate finance role to become COO of his daughter’s coffee and roasting business. Desmond A. Wiggan Jr. went all-in, launching Battery Exchange after witnessing the challenge of mobile power access during his time in China. Carol Davis, Esq., MBA was called upon to create a business incubator straight out of law school while running a financial education company. And Gloria Hairston, BS, MBA, CTI President, Be One To Succeed Staffing, LLC saw an underserved population and built a staffing company to solve the problem head-on. Each story was a reminder of the grit, resilience, and vision that define entrepreneurship. Here’s to creating, growing, and setting new standards together. 🚀 What is your Story?
