Wayfound field trip to see OpenAI’s Sam Altman discuss AI and the future of humanity with Microsoft’s former Chief diplomat Craig Mundie. The question was “how can we create a benevolent AI? Is it important, and is it possible?” Craig’s book Genesis (written with Eric Schmidt and Henry Kissinger) is an absolute must read if you are in the AI field or worried about how this technology will co-evolve with us and shape the human future. Kudos to Sam for his genuine warmth, openness and humor tonight. ❤️

I've been asked a hundred times this month "What's an #AI Manager? And do we really need one in addition to the logs we get for monitoring?" Watch this video to see why you need an AI Manager in addition to your LLM Technical Monitoring Dashboards. Wayfound's AI Manager works with the PMs and Business Owners to help them steer, improve, and manage the AI Agents while the Technical Dashboards help the engineering team make sure that the data is secure and that the technical components are working properly.

Join me and Subha Shetty on Dec 13, 9-10am PT for a presentation on "Building Trust in your #GenAI Strategy: A Framework for #2025" The #1 feedback we heard from product leaders in our report - "2024 State of the Union of Gen AI for product leaders" is a lack of trust—trust in the technology, the metrics, and the ability to scale GenAI products with confidence. At the same time, nearly every product leader is or wants to strategize and include GenAI and Agents in their 2025 roadmaps. If you’re navigating these challenges, this event is a must-attend. While 2024 was the year many companies began building and experimenting with GenAI and AI Agents, 2025 will be the year these innovations are deployed at scale with customers. In this webinar, Wayfound CEO Tatyana Mamut and Chief AI Officer Subha Shetty will share actionable insights and success stories from companies that transitioned from experimentation to large-scale, customer-facing deployments of GenAI Agents. What sets these successful companies apart? They measured and monitored their GenAI products across the "4 Layers of Metrics" and established scorecards that balanced both technical and business outcomes—ensuring trust in the technology and confidence in its performance. We’ll introduce you to a practical framework for measuring and monitoring GenAI products, empowering you to ensure your AI systems work as intended and build organizational trust in GenAI. Here’s a real quote from a #Product Leader who applied this framework for their GenAI customer service Agent: "Now with the observability and metrics in place, we feel comfortable releasing this Agent to 30% of our customers in early December. We wouldn't have been able to do this without the analytics." Join us to gain the insights you need to scale your GenAI efforts with confidence in 2025. #AI #Strategy #Planning #ProductManagement #VC https://lu.ma/rbxuy031

Richard Socher is absolutely correct. We talk to customers all the time who have built a GenAI chatbot or agent and either: 1) stay in the experimentation phase forever because they are afraid to launch or 2) launch and then hear anecdotal feedback about a bad customer experience and pull the Agent down. Here is a conversation I had with a Lead UX Researcher yesterday working at a state of the art tech company - The eng team built a GenAI conversational agent and tested it extensively before releasing. They wrote Evals based on the scenarios they could think of, and iterated on the Agent before they released. - They released the Agent to customers, and the logs were showing that everything was going well! - Then the CEO got 2 messages from customers that the Agent was "hallucinating" -- he called a CODE RED and told the Product & Research team to figure out what was going on - The UX researcher sampled transcripts but none matched the issues the customers mentioned. So she contacted all the customers that had interacted with the AI Agent for interviews. - She interviewed the customers who responded, and a few of them said they recalled that there were some wrong or unexpected answers and actions. She said to me: "the ones who remembered their prompts that caused the hallucinations were super helpful" - Based on this, she wrote up a report and presented to the Chief Product Officer, who then passed along requirements to the Engineering team to fix the agent. - There is a debate now in the Product team about how to know when the fixed Agent will be ready to release. If this company had used Wayfound.ai, the Product team would have known about every single problematic interaction the Agent was having with customers and dive into the exact transcripts, without ever missing a transcript and without engineering help. Wayfound gives business users the observability and confidence to deploy their Agents to the world, knowing that they are being monitored and managed by our AI Agent Manager immediately - and be able to iterate on AI Agents to confidently address experience and performance gaps as soon as they happen. Does this problem sound familiar? DM me to get the solution.

AI has a "last-mile problem" similar to self-driving cars. With self-driving cars, early demos impressed, but real-world deployment took years. It's easy to hack up a prototype, but making it work reliably at scale is hard. If each step of an AI agent is only 95% accurate, none of the 30-step workflows will work reliably.  Going from 95% to 99.9% accuracy is the real challenge. Key takeaway from the latest #Pivot podcast on deploying GenAI is: “plan a little, iterate a lot.” This is exactly what we’ve been talking to enterprise customers about. If you have AI agents you have built but are not yet confident enough to deploy, DM me so I can show you how Wayfound customers are iterating their way to confidence and success with GenAI. Scott Galloway Kara Swisher - also happy to demo to you if interested in diving in!
