As Wakefern counts down to the New Year, we’re sharing our top 10 memories of 2024! ✨ Over 30 team members marked 25 years of service to Wakefern this year and were inducted into the cooperative’s Quarter Century Club. 👏 Started in 1981, the Quarter Century Club honors longtime teammates who support our mission to help small businesses succeed in a big business world. Our associates' longevity reflects Wakefern’s commitment to creating a supportive work environment where associates can thrive.

As Wakefern counts down to the New Year, we’re sharing our top 10 memories of 2024! ✨ Through our ShopRite Partners In Caring hunger-fighting program, we continued the annual tradition of helping thousands of families enjoy a traditional holiday meal — donating nearly 10,000 turkeys to local Feeding America food banks in November. We are so proud to share special moments at the final stop of our delivery route — The Community FoodBank of New Jersey. ❤️

We're excited to share that Wakefern has been named “Co-Op of the Year” by The Griffin Report of the Northeast, a Shelby publication that covers the grocery and supermarket industries. This recognition is not only an honor, but also a testament to our team and the many services we provide our cooperative Members and wholesale customers. The special issue shares highlights from our Wakefern story – from the eight founders who “put up $4,000 to start the business” in 1946, to today's innovative tech solutions that support small businesses, and the people and families who are at the heart of our cooperative. Congratulations to Wakefern Member Cingari Family Markets on the grand reopening of the ShopRite of Brookfield, CT! ✨ The store recently underwent a beautiful makeover to create a modern, convenient and elevated shopping experience. The renovation delivers reimagined store departments and expanded selections of fresh produce, seafood, meat, baked goods, floral arrangements, ready-to-cook and prepared foods, and much more!

With just two weeks until Christmas Eve, Santa took his sleigh out for a test drive to the new Fresh Grocer in Oakdale, NY! 🎅🏻 The Thompson family, which owns and operates the new Long Island store, welcomed Santa and the Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan Saturday and served customers hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts, pretzels and more!
