Wow! Our friends at SafeBase delivered an afternoon of fellowship and deep exploration into the workplace, serving up a keynote by Dr. Cynthia Sutherland, US Lead Security Assurance for AWS. Dr. Sutherland is not only former CISO of FEMA, but an author and lead on humanitarian efforts impacting 2,000 victims of sexual assault. After her keynote, she led a discussion on the experience of leading as a female in the workspace. She demonstrates her own enduring relationship with Alexis Robinson, CISA, PMP, MBA and their ability to collaborate and thrive as female leaders. Enlightenment and discussions on self actualization are not separate from security and culture, but she proved are a part.
