Your generosity supports so many families like Maya’s. 🎁: https://lnkd.in/eM8CnaCz “I’ve been fighting for Maya since she was 9 months old, and Vinfen was the first place that was willing to take on the fight for me,” Barbara shares about her daughter’s journey to receiving care. Maya is a spirited 14-year-old girl who lives with a number of significant challenges: autism, epilepsy, speech and hearing deficits, and a rare genetic disorder known as IQSEC2—of which there are less than 500 known cases in the world. Vinfen is committed to families like Maya’s; our dedicated care teams find passion and purpose in connecting families to resources and services that will help them live fully and meaningfully within their community. Our mission to transform lives often coincides with the feeling of having an extended family – a privilege we don’t take for granted. 💗

We love seeing Troylene Ali featured in the Dorchester Reporter for her efforts to combat bullying and to prevent suicides among autistic kids and teens to honor her late son, Tylee, that was served by Vinfen. She was the recipient of a Family Recognition Award at our recent Family Celebration in October. Congratulations, Ms. Ali! We are privileged to have you as part of the Vinfen community and sincerely appreciate your continued support and advocacy. A great start to our Monday! 🙌 We are thrilled to be included in The Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work list for the fourth year in a row. The rankings are determined by staff surveys, rating the organization on leadership, values, training, benefits, and more. We have immense gratitude for our dedicated staff who are committed to serving our communities and who hold Vinfen in such high esteem. You are the core of the work that we do and the mission of transforming lives together. Congratulations to our fellow human services and behavioral health organizations we share the list with: Advocates, Behavioral Health Network, Inc (BHN), Riverside Community Care, Justice Resource Institute, and Northeast Arc. We had a great and productive meeting today with Mayor Brian De Peña and his department, members of the Lawrence Police Department including Acting Chief of Police Melix Bonilla, former State Representative Jeffrey Sánchez, MPA, President and CEO Jean (Qing) Yang, other Vinfen Northeast leadership, and additional stakeholders to address the mental health needs of the Lawrence community. We are proud to partner with CITY OF LAWRENCE MA to continue this critical work together.

Transform lives with Vinfen on #GivingTuesday 🎁 Give today: https://lnkd.in/eM8CnaCz We know GivingTuesday brings many messages to your feed, but we hope ours will stand out and offer a glimpse into how your generosity directly impacts the people we serve at Vinfen. Your contribution supports vital programs that provide essential services and opportunities for recovery, stability, connection, and growth among some of the most in-need members of our community. Todd Reis, a person served by Vinfen and chairperson of the Metro Boston Self-Advocacy Group, says it best: “Not having independence means not being able to do things you love. Now, with the support of Vinfen staff and the skills I’ve learned, I’ve been able to retrain myself, make friends, and gain the trust of the people around me.” Your support this year helps us extend our reach even further, transforming lives in the ways that matter most. We couldn’t do it without you.

We’re taking a moment to reflect on the many ways we show thanks and appreciation for one another. It’s through small gestures of gratitude that we build strong, supportive communities. A great example of this is our Gratitude Grams—heartfelt notes shared between staff members, offering thanks and recognition for the positive impact we have on each other at work. Lead Residential Counselor Paul Monopoli shared a Gratitude Gram with Residential Counselor Chris Bruns for promoting wellness that has positively impacted their residents and team members. We wish all of you in the Vinfen community and your loved ones a joyful holiday week where thanks and giving can be shared in good company. 🧡✨

Your year-end gift makes a real difference: https://bit.ly/YrEndGiftLI 🎁 Since moving into Vinfen’s new group living environment in Haverhill for individuals with brain injuries and mental health conditions in 2023, Pat has found more than just a place to live—she’s found a home. It took her time to find it, but Pat says she’s now in a place that offers safety, community, and much more of the happiness she had sought for so long. When you donate to Vinfen, you help foster stories of hope like Pat’s. You help bring people out of the darkness and into the light of joy and possibility.
