  • No filter needed when it’s a picture perfect snow scene for our night crew. We might even say this could be the start of a Hallmark Christmas Movie… 🤔 Title: Snowfall on Duty As the first snow of the season blankets the charming Village of Glendale Heights, Officer Holly Winters is working the night shift, patrolling the quiet streets. When a mysterious car is found abandoned near the town square, it leads her to an intriguing stranger, Jack, who claims to have lost his memory but seems to know an awful lot about spreading Christmas cheer. As Holly investigates Jack’s story, the two begin to unravel a holiday mystery that could save Christmas for the entire town—and just maybe, warm their hearts along the way. With twinkling lights, snowy streets, and a touch of romance, Snowfall on Duty is a heartfelt tale of love, trust, and the magic of the holiday season. Now showing on the Hallmark Channel! 🍿

A huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers who helped make this magical morning possible and to the Kiwanis Club of Glendale Heights for their incredible support. Your hard work and dedication brought smiles to so many faces! We hope everyone enjoyed a morning full of delicious food, holiday cheer, and special memories with Santa and Mrs. Claus. See you next year for even more festive fun! 🎅🤶

  • At the December 12 Village Board Meeting, the Glendale Heights Village Board recognized the GHYBS 10U Cheetahs and 12U Panthers on their recent successes! The 12U Cheetahs finished in second place while the 10U Panthers were the Fall League Champions! Both teams had incredible seasons and we are proud of their hard work! Congratulations to both teams!

𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 - 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 Trotter and Associates assisted the Village of Glendale Heights in implementing the phosphorus removal upgrades at their wastewater treatment facility. The existing biological process utilized single-stage nitrification, which took place within the four aeration basins. As part of the project these basins have been converted to an A2O process. Baffle walls were installed to create separate anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic zones. Additionally, submersible mixers were installed and an internal recycle pump conveys nitrified MLSS to the anoxic zone for denitrification. Chemical polishing facilities were constructed to allow dosing of alum upstream of the secondary clarifiers or prior to solids dewatering. The improvements were completed in October 2024, and TAI is now assisting the Village with process monitoring and optimization.

  • What a perfect day for our annual Victorian Christmas and the debut of our Christkindl Market! Glendale Heights is rich in history, and we hope everyone enjoyed learning more about how our community came to be. Special thank you to our vendors, the Kiwanis of Glendale Heights and Glenside Library for helping sponsor this event.

  • A yearly tradition with the #GHPD is Heroes and Helpers as we bring a little holiday cheer to select children in the Glendale Heights community! These children were given the opportunity to have a delicious breakfast provided by Ki's Steak and Seafood, a special ride in our squad cars, and then shopping at the Target in Glendale Heights. Thank you to the FOP Lodge 52, Ki's Steak and Seafood, Target of Glendale Heights, and numerous community organizations who helped bring a little holiday cheer to these children!

  • A longtime tradition with the Senior Citizen's Holiday Luncheon is Village staff and community leaders taking time out of their busy schedules to help serve our senior members! Thank you to the Village's Executive Staff, staff from other various Village Departments, and Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, and other personnel from the Glendale Heights Police Department, Glenside Fire Protection District, and Bloomingdale Fire Protection District #1. We can confirm, not a single plate of food was spilled while they "worked"!
