Cigarette smoking remains the leading cause of preventable death in the United States and many other countries. Shouldn’t our leaders do everything they can to prevent deaths and reduce tobacco-related harm? Unfortunately, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer and the FDA have missed a profound public health opportunity by not encouraging reduced-harm nicotine products such as Zyn. Instead, they are targeting these lifesaving products and proposing wide-reaching bans even though prohibition doesn't work.

Food for thought.. does Senator Schumer care more about the 260k (aka 1.5%) middle and high schoolers who have used nicotine pouches is the last year than the 30M adult smokers in the US. Do we can less about the lives of the 30M smokers just because they've grown up?
Dear Senator Schumer - over 30M US adult smokers could switch to reduced harm options like Zyn to save their lives. As per the CDC, 1.5% of middle and high schoolers use nicotine pouches. Cigarettes kill 50% of users. 12% of your constituents smokes and are at a high risk of dying from their habit. Do we care less about the lives of 30M adult smokers just bc they've grown up?
