Real conversation - Leader: "My reps are using LinkedIn. They all have Sales Nav." Me - How are they using LinkedIn? Leader: The usual we use a #sales engagement tool to send inmails and connection requests. Me: What's your response rate to email and what step is your LinkedIn connection request in the sequence? Leader: About 1% reply rate. It's getting harder and harder. And the connection request is step 3 on day 3. We don't customize it the platform just sends a request. Me: so if all you're doing is moving the same message that's getting a 1% reply rate on email to LinkedIn and sending cold connection on day 3 when they don't know you, why do you think you'd get better results? In addition, 88.4% of your sales team hasn't commented or posted on LinkedIn in the last 30 days. Therefore, there is no insightful engagement going on and therefore you should continue to expect a 1% reply rate and a decline in your connection request.
