Family is there for each other. When manufacturing a turnkey pickle washing and hydrocutting line, we turned to our sister company, Grote Company, to automate the line with controls. Watch our CEO, Bob Grote, and his son, Jack Grote, discuss the collaboration and how this is just one of many projects between our companies.

We talk a lot about potato chips and French fries, but our equipment also processes carrots for high-quality baby carrots, match sticks, and other carrot products. From washing and scrubbing to hydrocutting, our equipment is built for: 🥕 High Volume – automatic continuous processing increases throughput and capacity 🥕 Improved Sanitation – mostly tool-less changeouts and minimal moving parts on our stainless steel machines help keep your operation clean 🥕 Reduced TCO – our machines run durably for years and decades. Limited wear parts protect your long-term bottom line We support carrot processors with installation, training, and field service to help keep equipment and your operation running.

Our facility in Bengaluru, India, recently built and delivered a Compact Hydrocutter System for a local frozen potato manufacturer to cut potatoes for French fries and other frozen products. The three-piece system includes a pump, cutter, and dewatering conveyor in a compact 20-foot footprint to cut and process high volumes of food like French fries, cucumbers, peppers, and more. And because it was built locally, the processor avoided shipping delays and tariffs. We couldn’t do it without our partners at mtsfoods.

Did you know we custom-configure rolls for every Peeler/Scrubber/Washer we sell? Because every application requires the right set to perform the way you need it to. We consider your product, flow rate, level of peel, and the model peeler to determine the mix of rolls. And most of the time, they are a mix of these types in the same bed. ⚫ Brushes—wash, peel, scrub, and remove dirt and debris without losing yield ⚫ Coated Abrasive—peel, polish, and rough scrub, leaving a smooth surface ⚫ Lift Roll—tumble the product and separate solids while keeping the chamber clean after steam peeling ⚫ Rubber Pintle—collect loose residue after steam peeling to keep the peeler clean ⚫ Sinewave Segment—mechanically timed to synchronize segment movement to abrasively peel odd-shaped products

Batch or continuous operation processing equipment? If you’re on the fence, here’s a comparison rundown. CONTINUOUS OPERATION ➕ High volume throughput ➕ Lower labor requirements ➕ Consistent quality and performance ➕ Less storage and holding ➖ Higher initial investment BATCH PROCESSING ➕ Traceability and quality control ➕ Flexibility ➕ Lower initial investment ➖ Additional labor ➖ Downtime between batches It doesn’t have to be an either/or decision. Mix and match continuous and batch equipment lines to get the right balance for your business.

Ever wondered what a 93-foot-long conveyor looked like? Well, now you know. 😉 Let us know if you need a potato receiving conveyor at almost any length. #foodprocessing #foodequipment #conveyor

The "loweraters" angled ramps in our Bulk Storage Bin Systems ensure product doesn't fall the entire depth of the bin, causing damage. Instead, the product loads gradually and evenly. Combine the loweraters with an inclined inlet, support baffle, optional sheer plows, and more for optimal product integrity. #foodequipment #foodproduction #foodprocessing

While switchers and our Distributor have similarities... there's a big difference. They both deliver food products to a cutter head, where it's cut into French fries, pickles, matchsticks, and wedges. And if a plug or a maintenance need occurs, they move or shift flow to avoid costly downtime. BUT The Distributor divides the product into two outlets, sending product through two cutting heads simultaneously and doubling throughput with one pump. The Distributor automatically switches flow to the operational block if a plug or changeout is needed. With a Distributor, processors get the benefits of a switcher plus increased production. 📈 #foodequipment #foodprocessing #foodproduction
