New programs USC Research started back in 2023 began bearing fruit in 2024. The first cohort of Excel-funded faculty in the arts, humanities and social sciences are now sharing their work with the world.

The University of South Carolina Brain Health team had so many milestones in 2024 it’s hard to keep up, but they aren’t stopping anytime soon. In September, they unveiled the first renderings of the Brain Health Center, scheduled to open in 2026.

The University of South Carolina Brain Health Network screened their first patient for dementia in January 2024. 🧠 💜 Since then, the network has expanded to five locations and seen hundreds of patients. The Sumter clinic ribbon-cutting ceremony was a major highlight in a busy spring!
