A message from Hannah ❤️ Twelve years ago, I left my job to flip the cereal aisle on its head. I was only 29, but I’d seen (had?) enough. Our food system is broken and it impacts people’s lives and our planet’s health. I had the support of Brady (thank god), and that’s about it. We started a family, we blew through our savings, Brady joined full-time eventually—is there an acronym for Three-Kids-No-Income? I got a second job to cover our living costs. Most days it felt like we were pushing a boulder up a hill, and it took everything we had to stay focused on our North Star, our mission. We couldn’t quit; it was too important. Never in a million years did I think we would be sharing this story on the Today Show! I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity. With our kids in tow at the office yesterday morning, we all sat and watched the segment air live. We soaked it in, our oldest teared up (he’s old enough to have felt the hardship), and we cheered when it was over. The recognition was beautiful and heavy. The only part I disagree with is the title of the segment—“She Made It.” To me, it feels like we are just getting started.
