UWSM staff, board, giving circle, Thrive2027 council members, and community partners gathered with local legislators to share our 2025 policy priorities and discuss United Ways of Maine’s most recent ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) in Maine data. Thank you Kennebunk Savings and Saint Joseph's College for hosting these two events and thank you to everyone who contributed to these discussions! We look forward to collaborating with policymakers on solutions that will help more Mainers achieve financial stability and thrive.

Women United is bringing the holiday cheer!🎁❤ Member volunteers wrapped hundreds of presents last week, including winter gear, self-care baskets, and more. These holiday gifts are now on their way to 32 families led by single women through York County Community Action Corporation and The Opportunity Alliance. Meet our Staff: Nakesha 🤩 As our Homeless Services Hub Coordinator, Nakesha leads the day-to-day operation of the homeless response system for Cumberland County. "Being a part of this work allows me to advocate and affect the change and growth that Mainers desperately need in our community. Since joining the team, I’ve learned how to use data and storytelling effectively to advocate, educate, and inform my community about the misinformation and concerns so many have in the area of my work."
