Community partners are already hard at work at increasing capacity in our region's childcare programs; affordability, availability, and the critical educator workforce. The Southeastern CT #Childcare Collective partners like Norwich Free Academy, CT OEC, and childcare providers recognized at today's event at NFA's Slater Museum have built a student #pathway to create new opportunities for High School Seniors to intern at local provider and gain credentials for their future #careers. As part of Coordinated Outreach efforts to educate and provide resources to support our Community Health Workers, Jeff Smithson from Proponent of Play, did a workshop called Connections that focuses on enhancing interpersonal connections and workplace cohesion by emphasizing emotional intelligence, fostering a sense of #belonging, and promoting mindful energy exchanges. Participants build emotional #awareness, essential for navigating the clients they serve and team dynamics. These activities, paired with #mindfulness practices, help participants manage their responses, ensuring interactions are #constructive and #empathetic.
