This Veterans' Day, we’d like to take a moment to honor and celebrate the brave men and women who have served our country in the military. Veterans’ courage, dedication, and sacrifice have made a lasting impact on our nation and our daily lives. Currently, there are over 18 million veterans in the US – and one in four of them are truck drivers. We are saddened to learn about the passing of Judy Love, co-founder of Love's Travel Stops. Mrs. Love was an incredible advocate for the trucking industry and a pillar in the Oklahoma community. Her passion for philanthropy and dedication to improving the lives of professional drivers will be greatly missed.

Throughout the week, we were joined by the leadership from our partner company, Florida Rock And Tank Lines, Inc. for a Leadership Summit. During this multi-day event, leadership from UPT and FRTL came together to discuss best practices, learn more about how each company operates, and refine our operations across the board. During hurricanes, gas is critical not only for evacuating but also for powering generators that keep homes and hospitals running during outages. Throughout the week, UPT has sent additional drivers to assist our partners at Florida Rock & Tank Lines, who have been working diligently to ensure that gas stations are well-stocked with fuel during this hurricane season. In moments like these, truck drivers are unsung heroes, delivering vital supplies to their communities and ensuring they have the resources they need. Their hard work is essential for keeping people safe and connected when it matters most. Thank you to ALL professional truck drivers, emergency service personnel, and medical staff working throughout the southeast to keep others safe.

Our thoughts are with everyone in Hurricane Helene's path as it continues to push through western Florida. We are working closely with our Florida Rock & Tank Lines family to ensure they have all the help they need to deliver vital loads of fuel to the affected communities.
