Earlier this month, members of ULA’s Veterans and Launch Outreach (VALOR) Employee Resource Group (ERG) participated in the Homestretch 5K for Homeless and At-Risk Veterans in Melbourne, Florida. This event benefits the National Veterans Homeless Support, Inc (NVHS) whose mission is to eliminate homelessness among veterans in Central Florida. NVHS provides street level outreach, homelessness prevention and supportive services for homeless, at-risk and low-income veterans and their families since 2008. The African American Leadership & Engagement Networking Team (TAALENT) Employee Resource Group (ERG) recently donated robotics systems to Walter Jackson Elementary School, a local Decatur, Alabama, National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, to support their award-winning robotics program. The two VEX educational robotic systems encourage #STEM hands-on learning during normal curriculum as well as in competition. The robots will also allow new middle school students to get ahead of the learning curve next year. Great work, TAALENT, and good luck, Walter Jackson Elementary! 🤖 📚 Learn more about TAALENT and all of ULA’s ERGs: https://bit.ly/3Kavtft.

Congratulations to Doug Lebo, Engineering Leader and Launch Conductor for ULA’s human spaceflight missions for receiving NASA’s Silver Snoopy from Starliner CFT astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams all the way from the International Space Station! This unique award symbolizes the intent and spirit of the Space Flight Awareness program. An astronaut always presents the Silver Snoopy because it is the astronauts’ own award for outstanding performance, contributing to flight safety and mission success. Fewer than one percent of the aerospace program workforce receives it annually, making it a special honor to receive this award. As Butch as Suni are on the International Space Station, Starliner-1 Commander Scott Tingle presented the Silver Snoopy in person while Butch and Suni downlinked from the ISS to personally thank Doug for his dedication to safety and the mission. #ISS
