About us

For 15 years, the UFW Foundation has mobilized farm workers and their organizations across the country to advocate for more equitable policies, such as immigration reform, pesticide protections, heat standards, hazard pay, and other worker protections. We engage constituents in systemic change to break the cycle of poverty while also providing critical services. In fact, the UFW Foundation is the largest federally accredited immigration legal service provider in the state of California. The organization has staff in California, Washington, Arizona, Michigan, Washington D.C. and will be expanding to Georgia.

  • Spotted in the fields! 👀 Check out last month's Food Network Magazine, where our full-page ad highlights our Farm Worker Voices docuseries. Adela’s story is one of resilience, courage, and survival. For almost 20 years, she’s worked in the fields, enduring not only the physical toll of farm labor but also overcoming personal struggles like mental health issues and an abusive household. Despite a near-death experience after heart surgery, Adela continues to work in the fields, where toxic pesticide exposure is a daily challenge. Her story is part of our #FarmWorkerVoices docuseries, where we highlight the experiences of farm workers who are on the frontlines of climate change, facing extreme heat, pesticide exposure, and countless other hardships. Watch Adela's powerful story and learn about the struggles too many farm workers often endure. 🔗 FarmWorkerVoice.org

  • Dear ✍🏽 Farm ✍🏽 Workers, ✍🏽 As we take a moment to reflect and express our gratitude, we want to send our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. You are the heart and soul of our agricultural system, and your labor is the foundation upon which our country stands. At UFW Foundation, we are privileged to stand alongside you as advocates for your rights and your well-being. We know that too often your work is underappreciated, undervalued, and even exploited. But please know that we see you, we honor you, and we will continue to fight for the fair treatment, dignity, and respect that you deserve. We are deeply grateful for everything you do. This Thanksgiving, and always, we want you to know that you are cherished, respected, and appreciated—not just today, but every day. As we continue to advocate for better working conditions, fair wages, healthcare, and protections for all farm workers, we do so in the spirit of gratitude and respect. We will never stop fighting to ensure that you and your families have the resources and rights you deserve. Thank you for everything you do. We stand with you in solidarity, and we will continue to work together for a future where farm workers are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. Si Se Puede®
