2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season ends today with 18 named storms. #Alberto, #Beryl and #Francine all brought impacts to Texas. Texas responders supported #Helene and #Milton response and recovery efforts in the Southeast. While the season is over— Texans should prepare for the next big storm. #txwx

Chief Kidd was recently honored with the Outstanding Government Official recognition from the Texas Energy Summit for leading TDEM’s work following multiple disasters in 2024— and engaging on microgrid issues. TDEM will continue to support Texas communities in times of need.
