CEO @ Truewind - AI for Accounting & Finance

2024 was a wild ride for Truewind. We grew the team, raised our Series A, and met a lot of awesome people. To everyone who’s been part of the journey—customers, partners, investors—thank you for making it all possible. For me, the best part was working with a team that never flinches, no matter how difficult things get. Startups are no joke. They’re messy, unpredictable, and constantly test your limits. But this crew: they show up every single day. They care, they’re relentless, and somehow, they always find a way to make the impossible happen. Every win we’ve had comes back to them, and there’s no group I’d rather be in the trenches with. Here’s to closing out the year strong and seeing how far we can take things in 2025. Let’s do this.

  • We’ve raised our Series A! 🎉 This $13 million round, co-led by Rho Capital Partners, Inc. and Thomson Reuters Ventures, with support from Pathlight Ventures, brings our total funding to over $17 million. None of this would have happened without our amazing customers, investors, partners, team and the entire Truewind community—thank you so much for believing in us, and for making all of this possible. The funding will help us grow our accountant community, scale our team, and keep building better tools to unlock the power of generative AI.   Excited to keep learning, improving and building the future of accounting together.

  • "Truewind didn’t just fix our books—they transformed how we understand and manage our business.” – Jimmy Daly, CEO of Superpath Superpath had two common problems. Bookkeeping that was slow, and that didn’t provide enough clarity. In this case study, we talk about teaming up, the solutions Truewind implemented, and the results as well. One of our favorite points that Jimmy mentioned: saving 10+ hours per month, which he now puts into product development and community engagement. Last month, we heard Sam Altman talk about AI. It got us thinking even more about how accounting is changing, and where the industry is headed next.                   Prediction for 2025: As the use of AI goes up, the decision-making at many firms will actually get slower. AI is delivering more data and insights than ever, but in some ways, that creates a really big problem. The more information you have, the harder it is to figure out what actually matters and what to act on. The answer? Learning how to cut through the noise. That means training your team to focus on what’s important, blending AI insights with human judgment, and making sure that the tools you use actually help clients. Lots of complexity here, but the companies that get this right are really going to thrive. They’ll be more focused, act faster, and deliver better results. Ultimately, the real value of AI isn’t in how much it gives you—it’s in how well you use it.
