About us
Since its founding in 1977, Troy Public Radio's mission has been to provide listeners with in-depth and comprehensive news coverage and music that enriches the mind and nourishes the spirit. Troy Public Radio is proud to serve its listeners in the tri-state coverage area of central and southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. Our broadcast partners are National Public Radio, American Public Media, the BBC, and the Public Radio Exchange. Our work has been recognized with awards from the Alabama Broadcasters Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Southeast Journalism Conference. Troy Public Radio is a Listener Supported Service of Troy University.
