Mines, M.Div., as they share their powerful and remarkable story. From their unexpected meeting to becoming friends, they united more than 180 Black and white "linked descendants" on the plantation where Robin’s ancestors were enslaved by Anne’s family. Robin Mines lead our next Triad Coach Connection program: “Discussing Difficult Truths: Life Lessons for Coaching.” Experience their incredible journey of addressing historic trauma through truth telling. Their story (“The Meadow Families Project: Truth Telling and Healing on a Virginia Plantation”) of bringing together over 180 white and black “linked descendants” on the plantation where Robin’s ancestors were enslaved by Ann’s ancestors is a testament to the possibilities of reconciliation, healing, and transformation.   Reverend Robin Mines is a dedicated community leader and ordained elder in the AME Zion Church, with a passion for outreach ministry and youth mentoring. Her commitment to service and mentorship continues to inspire many in Richmond and beyond.   Ann Morris is a retired journalist and active community leader. She serves on the board of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and chairs the board of Lillian’s List. In 2020, she began a personal journey to explore her family’s history as enslavers in Virginia.
