Whenever someone drops into Trellis, we’ve found our staff often commenting “Tuesdays and Fridays are the best days to come”. Of course Fridays at Trellis are awesome: happy hour starts at 3p.m., members get their first drink free, and everyone’s looking forward to the weekend! How could you possibly lump Tuesday into the same category as the best day of the work week? Three words: Tuesday Tea Time. Every Tuesday at 3p.m. members, staff, and anyone who happens to be in the vicinity, put away their laptops in place for some tea, cookies, and conversation. The topics vary every week from informative to silly, but all synonymous in the way they allow the brain to take a break and enjoy the moment. Weekly attendance has increased; it’s marvelous to see how even a short conversation can blossom into a warm connection. Even better when a weekly attendee invites a friend! Though a sober social hour may be daunting to some, you’ll find it’s very easy to enjoy a cozy moment. Plus the cookies are great. Especially as the cold months and holiday season sprint upon us, we encourage you to seek out some community companionship, even if it's for a moment. Kate Khatseyeva called me "a professional marketing specialist during the day and a talented artist at night" 😄, and I'm so thankful for her kind words! Yesterday, Trellis Coworking & Events celebrated its 3rd anniversary, and I was there as a live painter 🎨. ⭐ As for the idea behind my artwork: I imagined a woman with an amazing idea in her mind, bringing it to life to create a colorful and beautiful startup! After finishing the artwork, everyone was asked to write their company's names on it, and of course, I included Trellis! 🙌 I hope this artwork inspires those who are considering a fresh start, even if it seems a bit daunting.
