Comparing the new video model Veo 2 from Google with Sora from OpenAI.
The difference is clear, Veo has a much better understanding of physics and has better output.
And it's much safer, *no fingers were hurt in the process* 😂
Video generation has really elevated in the past few weeks!

By 2025, your call center might sound nothing like it does today—here’s why.
As CEO of Tomato.ai, I’ve been closely following the rapid advancement of AI technologies in the call center space, and I’ve distilled my thoughts into three key predictions that I believe will define 2025.
1. 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥
First, we’ll see major strides in voice AI—both for virtual agents and as support for human agents. On the virtual front, speech-to-speech technology (like what OpenAI is pioneering) will eliminate the need for transcription before response. The result? Ultra-low latency, natural-sounding conversations that flow more like human-to-human interactions. On the human agent side, AI will help refine accents and improve intelligibility, building more trust and clearer communication with customers.
2. 𝐋𝐋𝐌𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠
Next, advanced Language Learning Models (LLMs) will become cheaper, faster, and more accurate. They’ll transform everything from call summaries and analytics to powering next-gen virtual agents. Simply put, these models will be the engine behind more efficient, insightful, and responsive call center operations.
3. 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐞
Lastly, after years of proofs-of-concept and incremental improvements, 2025 will be the year agent assist tools truly hit their stride. Seamless integrations, refined user experiences, and tangible ROI will become the norm—driving down costs and enhancing the overall customer journey.
Now, I’d love to hear from you.
Which of these trends do you see making the biggest impact, and why?
Let’s start a conversation—leave your thoughts in the comments.

The #Philippines is leading the charge in #AI adoption for call centers—what does this mean for jobs?
Two-thirds of call centers in the Philippines already use AI for automation and assisting agents. But there’s a growing concern: the Labor Secretary warns that 300,000 jobs could be lost in the next five years due to AI.
I see it differently.
AI isn’t just replacing jobs—it’s creating opportunities. By helping agents sound clearer and more trustworthy, AI enables them to perform better and compete globally.
This transformation could generate new roles, balancing out the impact of automation. The question isn’t whether AI will eliminate jobs—it’s how we can use it to empower workers.
What’s your take? Job disruptor or creator? Let’s discuss.

Imagine this: It’s December 2029, and the last human call center agent just ended their final call. From here on, every customer support interaction is handled by virtual agents.
This isn’t just a science fiction scenario—it’s the central idea of an intriguing new article on CX Today titled "Confessions of the Last Human Call Center Agent".
While no one knows if this shift will take 10, 20, or even 30 years, one thing remains certain: biases around accents will persist.
For example, studies show Americans tend to trust British accents more than others. Even in a future where virtual agents dominate, solutions like accent softening will be essential—not just for human agents but for virtual ones too.
How do you see the future of customer support evolving? Let me know in the comments.

The contact center industry has been chasing full automation for years.
After selling two AI startups to Google, Ofer Ronen went the opposite direction with Tomato.ai ($12M raised).
Instead of replacing humans with AI, he's using it to enhance them.
Here's what he learned building 3 contact center companies:
Enterprise deals take patience:
→ Closed 3 deals worth $100M+ each
→ Each deal took 18 months
→ Required competing in bake-offs against incumbents
Voice automation is 10x harder than chat:
→ Chat users want quick, direct solutions
→ Voice users are verbose, emotional, need negotiations
→ That's why Klarna could automate chat, but voice remains human-dependent
His counterintuitive bet:
→ Make offshore agents sound more natural to US customers
→ Focus on Filipino/Indian accents first
→ Create high-quality experiences at lower price points
The market evidence? A new Gartner study shows the top 2 reasons companies outsource contact centers:
1. Automation capabilities
2. GenAI implementation
3. Cost savings is no longer #1.
His biggest GTM lesson: Invest in SEO way before you need it.
