Founded by Flagship Pioneering, Cellarity operates at the intersection of biology, chemistry, high-dimensional data, and machine learning, developing game-changing medicines unreachable with traditional drug discovery methods. The Cellarity team needs to manage hundreds of millions of cells spread across datasets with a file-based storage approach. Yet, the approach's limits in scale and functionality resulted in inefficient data wrangling among their engineers and scientists. With TileDB, the team fulfills all their requirements for analysis-ready single-cell data on cloud storage while massively reducing their data engineering burden. About us
TileDB is foundational software designed by scientists for scientific discovery. TileDB structures all data types, including that data that does not fit into relational databases built for structured tabular data. Built on a powerful shape-shifting array database, TileDB handles the complexities of non-traditional “unstructured” multimodal data, such as genomic variants, bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, proteomics, biomedical imaging, as well as the frontier data of the future. Used by science and data teams within big pharma and biotechs to power their multiomic FAIR data platforms, TileDB is the destination for scientific breakthroughs where frontier multimodal data is driving drug discovery.

As #lifesciences organizations strive to unlock the full potential of their data, integrating diverse modalities like clinical data, multiomics, and medical images poses significant challenges. These #multimodal datasets hold immense value, but aligning data standards, ensuring interoperability, and scaling the required computational resources can be daunting. Regulatory compliance and data privacy concerns add further complexity, while siloed data sources and a lack of cross-functional collaboration create a chicken-and-egg problem. What do you see as the biggest hurdle your organization faces? Share your perspective in the poll below 👇 P.S. In our upcoming webinar, we'll explore how a top 20 pharma company tackled the complexities of integrating multimodal data. (link in comments)
