U.S. employees report using AI primarily for idea generation (41%), data consolidation (39%) and task automation (39%). Weekly use remains limited, with 1 in 10 saying they use AI that frequently and nearly 7 in 10 employees saying they never use it. These figures are essentially unchanged in 2024 compared with 2023. Gallup identifies 3 key strategies to support AI adoption in organizations: 1️⃣ Communicate an Integration Plan Despite 93% of CHROs using AI, only 33% of employees are aware of it, and just 15% understand the integration plan. A clear plan increases employees' comfort and preparedness to work with AI. 2️⃣ Establish Guidance for AI Use 70% of employees lack guidance on using AI at work, creating security risks and limiting effective use. Clear usage guidelines can empower employees and enhance innovation. 3️⃣ Role-Aligned Training Nearly half of AI users report no training on AI use. Participation in training boosts confidence and productivity with AI tools. Formal education is essential for effective exploration and use of AI technologies. #ExecutiveCoach #AI #ArtificialIntelligence

A client recently asked how to give their manager feedback on a challenging issue. One thing we've learned from Crucial Learning master trainer Justin Hale is this approach to sensitive or crucial conversations: ◼️ Share your facts and what you observed first, before your opinions. Use phrases like "Here's what I noticed . . . " or "I noticed that . . .". ◼️ Then --based on the thoughts you have developed from those facts-- share your opinion as an opinion. Maybe you say "In my opinion . . ." or "Here's how I see things." This approach helps you be honest with others, including your manager, without putting them on the defensive. Here's the Crucial Learning video for these tips: https://ow.ly/ZeI550U3Wme #Feedback #CrucialLearning #ExecutiveCoach

Identifying potential emotional triggers in advance can help those in leadership positions maintain their poise and focus on finding solutions rather than reacting in the heat of the moment when such instances arise. Kathy says leaders may be emotionally triggered if their values don’t align with another person’s values. Business Trend: Move away from the term “work-life balance,” which implies a competition between work and home life. Instead, embrace the concept of “work-life integration.” SHRM suggests four ways to build work-life integration: 1️⃣ Maximizing Flexibility Consider allowing your team to work from any location where they can demonstrate productivity. Embrace professional development and flexible schedules that deviate from the norm. 2️⃣ Establishing Meaningful Boundaries Reduce the number of meetings and avoid scheduling work during evenings or weekends unless there’s an urgent deadline. 3️⃣ Working Together (and Apart) Be intentional about when and why your team meets. Additionally, create opportunities for team members to foster relationships with one another. 4️⃣ Exploring Innovative Benefits Move away from outdated, office-centric environments and adopt more human-centered work options. Introduce benefits that prioritize your team's needs, enabling them to deliver high-quality work while balancing their personal lives. 💡 The Bottom Line: The aim of work-life integration is to harmonize work and personal life, seeking opportunities for compromise and synergy rather than viewing them as opposing forces.
