Leadership is not just about driving results; it’s about raising the bar for everyone around you. When leaders commit to their growth—whether through learning, coaching, or developing key skills—the impact resonates throughout their teams and organizations. As Ray Kelly shares investing in leadership development isn’t just a personal win; it’s a win for the entire team. Stronger leaders build stronger cultures, foster collaboration, and drive growth. How are you challenging yourself as a leader today? Small improvements add up to big outcomes.

One thing is clear: change requires desire and determination. When dealing with change, Kris Petersen asks an important question: How badly do you want this outcome? Because when the desire is strong, the willingness to change follows. But let’s be honest—change is uncomfortable. Doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result just isn’t realistic. Change asks us to step outside our comfort zones, try something new, and face uncertainty. Here’s the good news: nothing is forever—it's just for now. If the new approach doesn’t work, we can pivot, adjust, and try again. Growth is a process of exploration, not perfection. If you’re ready to embrace discomfort and take a bold step toward your goals, we’re here to guide you. Change isn’t easy, but the outcomes are worth it. What’s one area where you’re ready to try something new? Let us know in the comments!

Here is an exercise we use to unpack the effect of leadership: Step 1: Answer the following two questions: 1. What are three traits you think of when you think of a great leader? 2. What are three traits you think of when you think of a poor leader? Step 2: Draw three circles and label them with the following categories: 1. Emotional Intelligence (EQ) - how did the person make you or others feel? 2. Cognitive Intelligence (IQ) - how did they demonstrate their knowledge in an area? 3. Technical Intelligence (TQ)- how did they demonstrate their skill in an area? 99% of the time the traits Step 3: Map your traits of a great leader and poor leader to your circles. think2perform pro tip: 99% of the time we facilitate this exercise the EQ circle dominates with traits of great leaders and poor leaders. It's all about how you make others feel. Comment with traits you've seen in great and poor leadership.

Here’s the truth: achieving your goals is both profoundly simple and incredibly hard. Simple ≠ Easy. The path forward doesn’t have to be complex, but it will challenge you. Why? Because meaningful growth demands commitment, focus, and alignment. If you’re ready to cut through the noise, here’s your reminder: profound simplicity often leads to profound results. Listen to Doug Lennick share his insights.

"It’s not about how you throw the ball—it’s about whether someone catches it." This simple yet profound lesson from legendary Celtics coach Red Auerbach has stuck with Alan Lennick CFP®, BFA™ and transformed the way Alan Lennick CFP®, BFA™ thinks about communication, both in leadership and everyday life. As leaders, we often focus on how we deliver our message: the tone, the phrasing, the medium. But what truly matters is whether the message lands—whether it’s received, understood, and acted upon. The truth is, not everyone processes information the same way. What resonates with me may not resonate with you. The key to effective communication is adapting to the needs of the listener. Sometimes, that means saying more. Other times, it means saying it differently. For leaders, this mindset shift—focusing on their reception rather than your delivery—can be a game changer. So ask yourself: Are your words connecting? Are your actions aligning? Are you throwing the ball in a way your team can catch? Let’s embrace the art of "catchable communication" and build better connections in our work and lives. What are your go-to strategies for ensuring your message is truly received? Share in the comments—I’d love to learn from you! #Leadership #Communication #Teamwork #Growth
