📢 The Future of Telehealth Hangs in the Balance 📢 As we approach a critical deadline, telehealth's expanded accessibility—made possible during the public health emergency—is at risk. The progress we've made in digital health could stall, and underserved communities might lose vital connections to care. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/gcyZxQ2g #Telehealth #HealthcareInnovation #DigitalHealth #Policy #FutureOfHealthcare

📉 Telehealth Utilization Decreases in September 📉 A recent report from PR Newswire reveals a notable decline in telehealth utilization across the U.S. in September, with a decrease observed nationwide and in every U.S. Census region. Key highlights from the report: -Nationwide Drop: Telehealth visits decreased across the country, signaling a shift back to in-person care as pandemic-related restrictions continue to ease. -Regional Variations: Every region experienced a dip, but some areas saw more significant declines compared to others. -Patient Preferences: With increasing in-person appointments, patients may be more comfortable returning to physical visits or choosing alternative virtual care options. While telehealth remains a critical tool for healthcare access, this trend reflects a larger shift in post-pandemic healthcare dynamics. As healthcare systems adjust to new norms, it will be important to monitor how telehealth fits into the broader care delivery landscape. #Telehealth #HealthcareTrends #DigitalHealth #Telemedicine #PatientCare #HealthcareInnovation #PostPandemicCare

PHI's Center for Connected Health Policy has released an updated Telehealth Policy Finder tool, which compiles related laws and regulations across all 50 states and D.C., as well as at the federal level. One finding: Since fall of 2023, several states have implemented new rules around prescribing via telehealth, especially for controlled substances.
