HR has long used age and generation labels to analyze the workforce, but outdated practices like ageism persist. Alarmingly, 76% of employees feel excluded from jobs due to age biases. In a recent report worked on by advisory board member Ivonne Vargas Hernandez called “Team Talent: Working with Four Generations,” it reveals misperceptions about younger and older workers. Yet, generational diversity is crucial, with Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Baby Boomers each offering unique strengths. Read more from Ivonne on how to navigate generational diversity at work.
