🚿💙 Making a Difference in Las Vegas! On November 15th, thanks to the generous support of Caesars Foundation, The WASH Foundation hosted an incredible service event for our unhoused neighbors in Las Vegas. Together with NEVADA HOMELESS ALLIANCE, The Center, and 20+ amazing organizations from Clark County, we were able to make a real impact: ✨ Served 189 guests 🎒 Provided 450 backpacks and hygiene kits 🍎 Distributed food, housing resources, medical insurance, vision screenings, and other essential services 🚿 Offered 49 showers with our mobile shower unit, along with clothing and hygiene kits 🦷 Partnered with Clark County’s Mobile Dental Clinic to provide on-site dental care for 12 individuals We’re so grateful to our partner and sponsor Caesars Foundation for making this life-changing work possible. In Magodes, Uganda, 1,200 children attending the Magodes Primary school face a serious challenge: a lack of access to clean water. This isn’t just an inconvenience, it is a critical health risk. Here’s why: 💔 The Impact of Limited Access to Clean Water: Without clean water, children are exposed to waterborne diseases like diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid, which are leading causes of illness and even death in young children. These illnesses don’t just affect their health—they also impact their ability to attend school, concentrate in class, and reach their full potential. 🚸 Hygiene Challenges at School: With no access to sufficient water or proper sanitation, children cannot practice basic hygiene, like washing their hands. This increases the spread of germs and illnesses, putting their lives and education at constant risk. 🌍 The Bigger Picture: The ripple effects of insufficient water extend beyond the classroom. Parents often spend time caring for sick children instead of earning income, and communities lose out on the future potential of their youth.
