Learn with compassion. Learn with empathy. Learn with love. 🏳️⚧️ Episode 2 of our Learn with Love series follows the journey of Trey (She/They) and Gloryra (She/Her). As a Black, trans young woman, Trey shares her story of coming out to her mother Glorya and their path to acceptance. 🧡 By leading with an open mind and heart, Glorya found understanding and affirmation for her daughter which made all the difference in their relationship. Glorya went from being unsure of her stance towards the LGBTQ+ community to being an ally and Trey’s #1 supporter. Their story is a true testament of the power of how learning with love can change lives. 🏳️⚧️ Check out Episode 2 of our Learn with Love series on YouTube! https://lnkd.in/ghD6-Wjp #TheTrevorProject #LearnWithLove #LGBTQ #ProtectTransKids

Listen to trans and nonbinary young people 🏳️⚧️For our November research brief, our team explored how TGNB+ young people think the people in their lives can best support them. 92% said ‘trusting that I know who I am’ is the best way to show support. We must trust trans kids when they tell us who they are, because it’s lifesaving — those who experienced none or very few supportive actions reported the highest rate of a past-year suicide attempt. We can save lives by listening, showing up, and trusting our young people. That is our responsibility. That is our purpose. To our intersex friends and followers, today is your day 💛💜 We join you in solidarity as we advocate for and champion your autonomy, dignity, and human rights. Around the world, intersex young people are still subjected to cruel medical intervention — and forced into binary boxes that are too small to hold all of the beauty of the intersex experience. Let us be clear: intersex youth matter. Their experiences matter. Their lives and livelihood matter. Read our full research brief into the mental health and lived experiences of intersex young people: trvr.org/IntersexYouth If you’re experiencing some challenging feelings today, or just need to talk, you can text START to 678-678, call us 1-866-488-7386, or visit trvr.org/get-help to talk to one of our counselors any day, anytime 📲 #IntersexDayOfSolidarity #Intersex #LGBTQI #TheTrevorProject
